 of functions. Its victory over the smartphone market was short-lived, 
however, when Apple began to chip away at its market share. Since then, 
the story of Research In Motion (RIM), the company in charge of the 
BlackBerry phone line, has been marred by a sequence of disappointments.
 Its market share for the 2010s has been at around one percent, giving 
shareholders the impression that the company was grasping at straws to 
remain relevant in an economy where customers have different demands.<br />

For a time, RIM has been largely successful with business-oriented 
users, popular among executives and professionals. This is due largely 
to the impressive security in its operating system, including its unique
 elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) algorithm. Since 2010, even among the
 business demographic, BlackBerry has been losing ground because of its 
lack of flexibility with applications. Enterprise apps on phones were 
largely abandoning BB in favor of iOS and Android. Today, you will be 
pressed to find a popular app that runs on it anymore.<br />

Is Android A Solution?</h2>

 maintain relevance with an operating system that very few people are 
showing any interest in. According to the report by Reuters, while RIM

 the BlackBerry operating system, it appears to release phones that also
 run Android to help it pick up market share outside of its niche.<br />

Should this come to fruition, I see no immediate change in 
BlackBerry’s fate unless they also spend considerable time forming a 
proper marketing strategy for these new devices. If BlackBerry can 
maintain the level of security it has while running Android, I think it 
could be a splendid opportunity to provide both professional and 
privacy-minded consumers with a new platform to work with.<br />

You can check how much space you have to work with by tapping 
“Settings -> Storage.” One of the first steps you can take to free up
 space is tap “Settings -> Apps” and browse around to see which apps 
you can uninstall and live without.<br />

To uninstall an app, just tap the entry on the displayed list and tap
 “Uninstall.” You can do this as many times as you need for any apps you
 feel you can part with.<br />

You can also free up space by cleaning out any files you may have 
downloaded. Tap “Settings -> Storage -> Downloads.” Select the 
files you want to remove and toss them in the trash. You can take it a 
step further if you’re feeling frisky and tap the “Cached Data” option 
and free up some additional space. A lot of the apps you’ve installed 
use data caches in an attempt to speed things up.<br />

To clear the cached data just tap “Settings -> Storage -> 
Cached Data.” However, clearing the cached data is only effective up to a
 certain point, especially if you’re running out of space.<br />

Any widgets you have running on your home screen may slide by with 
the excuse that they’re useful, but you need to keep in mind that

 big deal to have a few running, but you’ll notice a significant

How to Disable Ads on Android using AdBlock Plus & Configurations

Previously, users could download it directly from Google Play Store. 
However, Google removed it because of its “interference with another

<b>Note:</b> If your device is running Android 3.1 or

How to Check for Updates for Non-Play Store Apps on Your Android Device

For apps that you have downloaded via the Google Play store, you will
 always be notified when there is an update to the app. However, if you 
have installed apps from outside the Play store, you will have to 
manually check if there is an updated version for the app. This can be a
 cumbersome task, especially when you have a number of these apps 
installed on your device and all of them are from different sources. If 
you are facing this problem, here’s a way for you to check for updates 
for the non-play store apps.<br />

Checking for Updates for Non-Play Store Apps on an Android Device</h2>
There is an app called ApkTrack that lets you check for updates for 
the apps that you have downloaded from outside the Google Play store.<br />
To get started, download the <a href="http://kwiatkowski.fr/apktrack/ApkTrack.apk" target="_blank">ApkTrack</a> app from its developer’s website, as it is not available on Google Play.<br />
Make sure that “Install from unknown sources” is enabled on your 
Android device. If you’re unsure, head to Menu followed by Settings. Tap
 on Security and ensure that the Unknown sources option is tick-marked.<br />
Launch File Manager and tap on ApkTrack to install the app on your device. Once installed, launch it from your app drawer.<br />

When the app is launched for the very first time, you will need to 
allow the app to search for the installed apps on your device. To do 
that, click on the Search icon given in the top-right corner of the app.
 It will fetch all the apps that exist on your device.<br />

Once you see all of your apps listed in there, tap on the Sync icon 
given next to the Search icon to find updates for these listed apps.<br />
When the app has finished searching for updates, you will get notifications of which apps need to be updated.<br />
From here you need to click the sync icon given next to the 
individual app to find the updated APK and to download and install it 
onto your device.<br />
You can have ApkTrack search for updates in the background by enabling an option in the Settings menu.<br />
Press the Menu button on your device and select “Settings” to go to the settings panel.<br />
